Dr. Azam Shamani became a physician after a misdiagnosis in her own family showed her how much depends on a doctor who truly listens. That experience shaped everything about how she practices: she takes time to understand your history, your lifestyle, and what matters to you — then explains what she finds in plain language, so you leave every visit knowing exactly where you stand.
She is board-certified in Family Medicine, completed her residency at Kern Medical Center and a fellowship in cardiology at UCLA, and has cared for San Diego families from the same College Area office since 2012. Her interests span preventive care, chronic illness, women's health, dermatology, and medical aesthetics — which is why so many patients keep their whole family, and their whole self, in one place.

Designated Civil Surgeon — Form I-693 exams in San Diego.
Dr. Shamani is authorized by USCIS to complete the medical examination required for green card applications. We'll tell you exactly what to bring, complete the exam and required vaccines in one visit whenever possible, and seal your I-693 correctly.
